I’m happy to share the recording of this week’s episode of the all new “Catholic Moments”, which is now airing as a bi-weekly radio program on Radio Maria USA. In our very first show, we were honored to feature the work of two special friends of mine, Fr. Robert Reed and Donna-Marie Cooper O’Boyle.

Fr. Robert Reed is president and CEO of CatholicTV and a priest of the Archdiocese of Boston. He is the cohost of CatholicTV’s popular show, This is the Day, and often celebrates Mass and prays the Rosary on the network. Reed was educated at St. John’s Preparatory School and prepared for the priesthood at St. John Seminary College in Boston and the Pontifical North American College in Rome. Reed also studied broadcast administration at Boston University’s School of Communication. Fr. Reed is the author of Renewed: Ten Ways to Rediscover the Saints, Embrace Your Gifts, and Revive Your Catholic Faith.

Donna-Marie Cooper O’Boyle is a wife and mother, an award-winning and best-selling author and journalist, speaker, catechist, pilgrimage host, and the EWTN television host of Everyday Blessings for Catholic Moms and Catholic Mom’s Cafe, which she created. She knew Blessed Mother Teresa for ten years and is a frequent guest on national Catholic radio and television. Donna-Marie joined us to share her newest book Bringing Lent Home with St. John Paul II: Prayers, Reflections, and Activities for Families.

Catholic Moments #148 - The Human Person

Reverend J. Brian Bransfield is a priest of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia.  Fr. Bransfield joins us today to discuss his new book, The Human Person: According to John Paul II. He currently serves at the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops as Assistant General Secretary and Executive Director of the Secretariat of Evangelization and Catechesis. Fr. Bransfield received his doctorate in moral theology from the Pontifical John Paul II Institute for Studies on Marriage and Family. Prior to his current appointment, he served as professor of Moral Theology at St. Charles Borromeo Seminary. He is a noted national speaker and retreat director.

A Colorado atheist sees a television commercial produced by the folks at www.catholicscomehome.org and is led to God's truth and the one, holy and apostolic Church. Deacon Tom invites you to learn about Catholics Come Home and perhaps share a message of faith with others.

Catholic Moments #146 - The World As It Should Be

Gregory F. A. Pierce has over 40 years of experience working for social justice. He is the president of ACTA Publications.  Greg is the author of several books, including the best seller Spirituality at Work: 10 Ways to Balance Your Life on the Job.  He and his wife, Kathy, live in Chicago and have three young-adult children.  Today Greg joins us to discuss his latest book, The World as It Should Be: Living Authentically in the Here-And-Now Kingdom of God.

Is there serious illness in your family or circle of friends? Did you know that others have been praying for your intention for years? That's the topic of today's Deacon Moment. And please let us know of your prayer needs.

Catholic Moments #145 - All Things Guy

This week, we speak with Teresa Tomeo and Cheryl Dickow about their great new project for young men, All Things Guy: A Guide to Becoming a Man that MattersTeresa is an award-winning veteran journalist and best-selling Catholic author and speaker.  Her radio program is produced by Ave Maria radio and is carried by EWTN.  It is called “Catholic Connection.”  Most recently, Teresa’s “All Things Girl” book series was made into a 13 part television program for EWTN Global Catholic Television.  Cheryl is a Catholic author and speaker who founded Bezalel Books in 2007.  Bezalel Books is a Catholic publishing company interested in producing quality Catholic books for kids and classrooms.
